Story from the road in Kotse.com and Shell FuelSave's Save on Your Summer Road Trip

It was a special Sunday last June 10, 2012 for the winners of Kotse.com and Shell FuelSave's “Save on Your Summer Road Trip” contest. So maybe summer’s over, but that didn’t stop us from treating them and a bunch of their friends to a road trip and having fun. Ford Philippines was also kind enough to lend us three brand-spanking-new Fiesta Sport Plus' for the drive so we can find out for ourselves just how frugal their hot hatch really is.
Over the summer, Kotse.com and Shell FuelSave held a contest asking people to send in a photo showing their best fuel saving habits. The winners received free fuel and other goodies from Shell FuelSave, as well as an invitation to Kotse.com's FuelSave Workshop on a summer road trip. During the out of town workshop, we got to see some sights, eat some good food, and learn a bit about fuel economy. We also got to watch Pacquiao beat Bradley to within an inch of his life, only to lose on the judges’ scorecards. At least we were well-fed.

Save on your Summer Road Trip Contest Winners
The results of the Save on your Summer Road Trip with Kotse.com and Shell FuelSave are finally in. In two weeks, we received a total of 29 entries, and after spending more than an hour in deliberation, our judges has hand-picked the top six entries.
Contest mechanics were pretty simple. All you had to do is take a photo that shows your best Fuel Saving Habit and in 140 characters or less, describe what your fuel saving habit is. Entries were judged based on Creativity (30%), Relevance to theme (40%), and Originality (30%). The six winners comprised of: One (1) Gold Winner - First Place; Two (2) Silver Winners - Second and Third Place; and Three (3) Bronze Winners - Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Place.

Start saving on your Summer Road Trip by (1) taking an original creative photo (no more than 500 kb) that shows your Best Fuel Saving Habit. Then upload it with your (2) complete name and (3) a short caption (max. 140 characters) describing your fuel saving habit or tip in the “Save on Your Summer Road Trip” section of the Kotse.com Forum page. Remember, you must register first in the Kotse.com Forum to be able to post.
