Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) began production of completely knocked-down (CKD) and semi knocked-down (SKD) units at its plant in Sta. Rosa, Laguna back in 1989. And 23 years later, what is now the Philippines' largest automaker marked yet another milestone when they celebrated the production of their 500,000th vehicle - a brand new Toyota Innova - in a ceremonial line-off held at TMP's headquarters last March 8, 2012.
“This milestone is a testament to the unrelenting devotion to excellence of every Team Member who helped make Toyota Motor Philippines what it is today,” remarked TMP Vice Chairman Alfred Ty. “We shall further solidify Toyota’s partnership with the Philippines while continuing to contribute to economic development in the country. We shall constantly innovate ourselves to meet the dynamic needs of our customers and remain committed to help shape a more progressive future for the Philippines.”
