While summer is the perfect time to go to the beach, you have to admit, most of us Filipinos actually go to the mall to chill out and beat the heat. Not only is it cheaper, but also a lot more convenient. That's why, Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) packed up their beach towels and sunscreens and headed on a mall tour instead.

The 2013 Isuzu Nationwide Mall Tour started on March 4 and will last until May 29, travelling as up north as Nueva Ecija and as down south as Davao. They're bringing along their entire range of family-friendly vehicles across the country so you could check them out in person, which includes the Isuzu Crosswind, Alterra, and D-Max.

Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) is doing what they do best: provide transport solutions for your business. And to better suit its task as a multipurpose vehicle, they've chucked out the third-row seats of the Crosswind to create a new variant for 2012, the Crosswind XS.

As a six-seater model, the Crosswind XS can now carry more than 1.8 cu. meters of cargo - making it the ideal choice for a taxi, service/delivery shuttle, or courier vehicle. And with so much space freed up by the no longer-existent third-row seats, loading large items such as balikbayan boxes and oversized baggage should be a breeze. It's also more than capable of hauling all kinds of payload with its tough chassis, Isuzu's Flex Ride MOVE suspension, and the 4JA1-L 2.5L turbo Direct Injection diesel engine and five-speed manual transmission under the hood that's proven to get as much as 21.5 km/L.

If you've watched documentaries such as National Geographic's Mega Factories, then you probably know, more or less, what goes inside a vehicle production line. But unlike the plants they feature on TV that roll out exotic Italian supercars, Isuzu's facility at the Laguna Technopark in Biñan, Laguna assemble more modest AUVs, pickups, and trucks. What sets them apart, though, is that every single brand new vehicle they produce is proudly Philippine made. And to celebrate the plant's 15th anniversary, Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) invited us for a plant visit to see just how much love they put into each Isuzu vehicle.
