The 24 Hours of Le Mans is barely a month away and we're pretty sure that KC Motorgroup Ltd. (KCMG) is busy prepping the team's LMP2 Morgan-Nissan prototype to give it the best chance of finishing on the podium. And one company that's going to help them reach that goal is Motul.
KCMG has just announced its technical partnership with French oil company Motul not only in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, but also in their campaign in sports car endurance racing. That includes the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) and the Asian Le Mans Series which will begin in August. The deal will see Motul provide their high performance lubricants for KCMG's LMP2 Morgan-Nissan prototype which will run for hours non-stop and require the maximum engine protection and performance that only Motul can provide.

It means a lot when the Philippines' largest national flag carrier shows their support for motorsports, even more so if it's an international motorsports group. This is a testament how a business that has nothing to do with racing puts their trust (and money) in a team because they share the same philosophy in terms of vision, performance, and prestige. I'm talking about Cebu Pacific Air who has expanded their partnership with KC Motorsports Group Ltd. (KCMG) in their 2013 campaign in the Formula Masters China Series (FMCS). As a result of this deal, the team will now be known as Cebu Pacfic Air by KCMG.

Soichiro Honda was once quoted saying: “If Honda does not race, there is no Honda.” And one of their biggest undertaking was Formula 1.
It started as early as the 60's where they enjoyed success as a full-fledged team. They then returned in the 80's as an engine supplier for McLaren and won the driver's and constructor's championship from '88 to '92 with Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost. Honda even had a short stint as a constructor a few years ago, until the company pulled the plug in 2008 due to limited success.
Sadly, Honda's motorsports program has been dormant for the past few years, which made us wonder wether Honda has lost their way. Well, I'm glad to let everyone know that their dry spell is almost over. That's because Honda Motor Co., Ltd. has just announced their return to the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from the 2015 season onwards as an engine supplier for McLaren once again.

This is IT! The Manila Speed Show is set to start in less than 24 hours. Just imagine, for the first time in Philippine history, three, yes three, Lotus Formula 1 cars will be screaming down the roads of Manila. And the main star of the show will be none other than our very own, and current Lotus F1 Junior Team driver, Marlon Stockinger.

GT3 Race Manila postpones race to 2014

Bummer. We just received an announcement from the organizers of the GT3 Race Manila, which was scheduled on June 2013, that the race has been postponed to 2014. It was expected to bring around 15 GT3 race cars such as Aston Martin DBRS9s, Porsche 911s, Ferrari 458s, McLaren MP4-12Cs, and Lamborghini Gallardos to race around a 2.7 km street circuit in Luneta Park. But as it stands now, we'll have to wait another year to see these glorious machines race in the Philippines.

French carmaker, Peugeot (pronounced as 'pyu-joe') is coming to America to join the country’s second oldest auto race - the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. The battle shall take place in Colorado this June 30, 2013 where those who dare shall climb a 20 kilometer mountain track with more twists and turns than a local telenovela (156 turns to be exact). With a speedy ascent of 2,862 meters to the 4,300 meter summit, the altitudes’ thinning air adds to the perils to be faced by the racers, aside from the more threatening and more obvious danger of falling off the peak.

Toyota Motorsport GmbH builds race-ready GT86 CS-V3

In case you haven't noticed, it's an open secret that the Toyota 86 was made for far greater things than just being a fun little sports coupe. It's not just for someone suffering from a midlife crisis or some yuppie who think that he's got it made. No sir! The Toyota 86 is so much more than that. Its mission in life is to remind all of us that we drive not just to get from point A to point B. Instead, driving is a skill that needs to be nurtured and the drive should be as much fun as the destination itself.
