Now on its half-way-point, the 2012 Lateral Drift Championship is shaping up to be one of the most highly-contested seasons in its history. With only 72 points separating the top four pro drivers in the title race, catch the high-flying sideways action as they head to Round 4 this Saturday, September 29 at the shoe capital of the Philippines in Marikina City.
This is not the series' first time to visit the venue. It hosted the last two rounds of last year's championship, where Audel Sison of Team Autocraft Drift clinched the title. Situated right behind the Marikina Sports Complex in Parang, Marikina, every last inch was packed with spectators in 2011 as they all enjoyed the new adrenaline-pumping sport of drifting. So, to make the show even better, the City of Marikina offered a bigger venue in front of the City Hall this year that will not only allow for a bigger track, but also accommodate even more spectators.

TRS' Raceday puts more than 140 cars on track this September 30
After a fantastic turnout at the 1st leg of the Tuason Racing School (TRS) Raceday last August, it's time yet again to suit up and strap on for another track attack, this time at the Clark International Speedway (CIS). The 2nd TRS Raceday brings together the TRS Cup powered by the Ford Fiesta, Car Club Trackday, and the Bridgestone Cup on track this September 30, 2012.

After an action-packed Round 1 saw reigning champion Audel Sison defend his title, the 2012 Lateral Drift Championship is shaping up for an even more exciting Round 2. But instead of just burning rubber, they're out to prove that drifters too have a heart, on August 18, 2012 at the Clark Expo open parking grounds.
Dubbed as “Drift for a Cause”, Round 2 will be a fund raising event for the benefit of our countrymen in Pampanga, who were affected by the non-stop rain between August 6 to 8, 2012 that flooded most of Central Luzon.
Organized by the Lateral Drift Production and Creator Studio, this leg will be held in conjunction with a Car Show and Sound Off. Entry fee for the Car Show and Sound Off is P1,500/car. And exclusive for this round, they'll be offering Drift Rides at P250/person and even Drift Lessons for those who want to get a grip on drifting. There'll also be an on-site Carwash for a fee. All the proceeds gathered from this event will be donated to flood relief operation in Pampanga.

MMPC to display all-new Mirage and Outlander at 4th PIMS

The 4th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) is only a few days away, and you should know that Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corp. (MMPC) has big things in store that will take center stage at the show. On top of their existing line-up, the tri-diamond brand will be featuring great rides - both new and old - that will blow your socks off from August 16 to 19, 2012 at the World Trade Center (WTC) in Pasay City.
Be one of the first few to see the all-new Mirage make its official Philippine debut in the bare sheet metal. Mitsubishi is finally returning to the subcompact car market after a 34-year absence, and boy, are they making a big comeback! It'll seat five people, run up 22 km/L with its three-cylinder 1.2L MIVEC engine, and be sold at just a little over P500,000. This little hatchback will surely be the biggest thing to ever come out of Mitsubishi's garage in a long time and could possibly even outsell the country's second best-selling vehicle, the Montero Sport, when sales begin in November.
