Under the hood, the new 2012 Lancer EX GLX now has a smaller 1.6L MIVEC engine that produces 117 horsepower and 154 Nm of torque. The MX model gets a similar head-unit with GPS navigation function, colored LCD multifunction display in the gauge cluster, and climate control.
Outside, the GLX's new features are more limited and subtle such as the color-keyed exterior door handles and door side view mirrors, and an all black mesh-type radiator front grill. The MX comes also with HID headlamps with adaptive front lighting system (AFS), fog-lamps, door side mouldings, and a chrome insert for the front grill.
