According to CAC President Ms. Ginia R. Domingo, Kia's strong performance in the first half of 2012 is strongly attributed to the overwhelming reception of the all-new Rio, which was just launch last January.
“The demand for the all-new Rio and our other models, encourages us to continuously introduce vehicles that are expressions of the Kia brand's commitment to create high quality cars with striking designs, that have minimal environmental impact. This philosophy, translated in the company slogan 'Power to Surprise' puts Kia cars at par with the world's top brands, and translates to more Filipino consumers recognizing the undeniable value proposition of our vehicles,” remarked Ms. Domingo.
Finally, Kia is going into the battle field well-armed with exciting new models at competitive prices. This allowed them to sell roughly 650 units a month this 2012, which is a huge victory for CAC who only sold half of that last year. But the fight is still not over. If they really want to win the war against the giants at Hyundai, they'll have to come up with something smarter than just the mechanical equivalent of the Trojan horse. Time to bring out the big guns Kia.
