Honda's 1.3L Jazz now back in stock

When heavy monsoon floods crippled Honda's manufacturing plant in Thailand late last year, the supply shortage it caused left Honda Cars Philippines Inc. (HCPI) nothing to sell. Thus, despite the overhead higher costs, they had no choice but to import their stocks from Japan just to keep up with the demand. This also pushed back the launch of several new models such as the City, Civic, and CR-V, and temporarily wiped the Jazz 1.3L off their line-up. But now that their facility in Thailand is back up and running, HCPI has now resumed sales of the 1.3L version of the Honda Jazz starting this May.

Powered by a 100 hp 1.3L i-VTEC engine, the Jazz 1.3 S is available with either a five-speed manual or automatic transmission. Of course, it still comes with dual front SRS airbags, ABS, and its acclaimed ULT (Utility, Tall, Long mode) seats that offer outstanding interior space versatility. But unlike the special edition 1.5L Jazz launched in February, this version doesn't come with any of those extra amenities such as headlight leveling adjustment or steering wheel-mounted audio controls.

At last, Honda's 1.3L Jazz is now back in stock, priced at P752,000 for the manual and P792,000 for the automatic transmission version. Available colors are taffeta white, crystal black, and alabaster silver. But this also means an end to the Japan-made Jazz.
