The boost in April was largely driven by the robust sales performance of Passenger Car (PC) models, registering an 85% increase from 3,526 to 6,527 units sold in the first four months of the year.
AVID Members, British United Automobiles Inc. (MINI), Hyundai Asia Resources Inc. (HARI), Motor Image Pilipinas Inc. (Subaru), and The Covenant Car Company Inc. (Chevrolet) all thrived in April, with the smallest in the group, MINI, achieving the biggest Y-T-D increase of 94%. On the other hand, luxury marques CATS Motors Inc. (Mercedes-Benz), PGA Cars Inc. (Audi / Porsche), and Scandinavian Motors Corporation (Volvo) slipped back a notch for the same period.
“We step into the second quarter with the confidence that the optimistic business and financial landscape will bring about continued and exceptional sales performance for all AVID members,” said Ms. Maria Fe Perez-Agudo, AVID President.
