While the boss dons his Armani suit and Ferragamo shoes, this posh crossover wears 18-inch aluminum alloy wheels and has a total of 10 exterior colors to choose from including the new Satin Silver, Burgundy Red, Sienna Brown, and Midnight Blue.
The dual-zone crossover cockpit feels plus and features new trim finishes, a new steering wheel, and a revised instrument console. But despite upgrading almost everything in the cabin - even a new Saddle Tan interior color option - it boggles us why Lexus decided to keep an analog radio display instead of opting for a new digital multimedia center like most other cars in its class carry. Regardless, the nine-speaker Lexus Premium Sound System should suffice for anyone’s last song syndrome.
During the launch, Lexus also introduced the new ‘Premium’ model grade, which adds some extra features on top of the already lux crossover: a tilt-and-slide moonroof; 19-inch aluminum alloy wheels; memory functions for the driver’s seat, steering wheel, and side mirrors; a multipurpose roof rail; a backup camera; power rear door; and other such amenities.
The RX350 is powered by a 3.5L V6 24-valve DOHC Dual VVT-I engine, producing 274hp, and runs on All-Wheel Drive. ABS and Traction Control come in standard as well as front and rear side airbags. And if the RX450h is any indication, the RX350 will drive like a dream. Speaking of which, Lexus Manila President Daniel Isla announced that the launch of the 2012 RX450h will be within the year. We are definitely looking forward to that.
The 2012 RX350 Luxury Crossover is priced at P3,578,000, while the Premier option is available for an additional P320,000.
