During the inauguration, Mr. Wellington C. Soong, Chair and President of Autostrada Motore Inc., was joined by Mr. Herbert Appleroth, President and CEO of Ferrari Asia Pacific; Mr. Simon Inglefield, Head of Region, Ferrari Asia Pacific Other Countries; and Mr. Gaetano Marino, Regional Sales Director for South East Asia Pacific of Maserati.
“We are very excited that our plan to open a Ferrari and Maserati dealership has finally come to fruition. It has been a challenging task to bring two premium supercar brands here, but it is worth it. In a way, we have finally arrived,” said Soong. “As the official dealership for the Ferrari and Maserati, we are aligned with the new corporate identity, which reflects passion, technical excellence, and unique style of the brands. As part of a worldwide network of Ferrari and Maserati dealerships, Autostrada Motore Inc. ensures customers that they will receive only top-of-the-line customer service to match the legendary performance, technology, and style of their cars.”
Through Autostrada Motore Inc., each horsepower in a Ferrari 458 Italia costs a whopping P41,000. But considering that it will get you from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 325 km/h, that's money well-spent. Plus, the mid-mounted 4.5L V8 is paired with a Formula-1 inspired seven-speed dual-clutch transmission functions as a great conversation piece whenever you brag about your new 458 Italia to your friends.
The Granturismo MC Stradale is a completely different breed of Maserati. Whereas other cars bearing the trident badge are sophisticated luxury sportscars, the MC Stradale is an all-out track monster and is actually the first street-legal Maserati racecar. A first amongst firsts, it's also the first in its brand to be equipped with carbon-ceramic brakes, the first to reach a topspeed of 300 km/h, and first road-going Maserati to have a dedicated Race mode.
It’s good to see the supercar scene starting to flourish in the country. They were elusive once, and the mere sighting of one of these marvels was worthy to stir up some buzz. Now they’re establishing themselves, making a mark that they’re here to stay… and spread. Maybe in the years to come, one might see these creatures tread our roads more often.
