After a few schedule changes, the 2011 championship is finally back on track to the delight of all those eager drift fanatics. Saturday’s Round 4 action begins at 6 pm, just as the sun starts to go down. With only flood-lights illuminating portions the track, drifters will have to dig deep to contend not only with the challenge from the competition, but also with the perils of the dark. And to push man and machine even harder, the crew will only have a few hours to catch some sleep and turn the cars around ready for Round 5 on the next day as it revisits the “Engine Killer Loop” that caught most of the drifters out on Round 1.
A two-month absence from the track has surely pumped up the roster of drifters, so much so that not even the threat of the night can slow them down. With only 32 points separating the top four drivers in the championship, Rounds 4 and 5 will surely bring some of the closest wheel-to-wheel action in this year's calendar. See you this weekend at the Clark International Speedway!
