Inside, it's mostly still the same trusty Innova that we've known over the years, but the four-spoke steering wheel with audio controls, restyled intrument panel, and wood trims with added silver accents are welcome changes. Plus, they've upgraded the headunit to a 2-DIN CD/MP3 player with an aux port to keep it up to date. There's also a slight change done to the A/C controls that only the keenest of eyes would notice. And just like before, this MPV comes with eight- or seven- (captain second row seats for the V grade) seater configurations.
No changes were made under the hood of the Innova for 2012. You'll find the same 2.0L four-cylinder VVT-i gasoline and 2.5L four-cylinder D-4D diesel engines that come with either a 4-speed auto or 5-speed manual transmission.
Proudly Philippine-made at TMP’s plant in Sta. Rosa, Laguna, the new 2012 Innova now comes in eight colors: Silver Metallic, Black, Bronze Mica Metallic, Super White II, Beige Metallic, Light Blue Mica Metallic, White Pearl, and the most striking shade of all, the new Red Mica Metallic.
The new Toyota Innova is available in four grades (J, E, G, and V); and when combined with the engine and transmission options, sums up to a whopping 12 total variants all in all.
Since its introduction in 2005, the Innova dominated the CV segment with over 70,000 examples roaming on Philippine roads today. Quick Getaway in Boracay
The picturesque white sand beach of Boracay is surely an odd place to launch your latest MPV. But in reality, our relaxing overnight stay is actually just a small part of Toyota's week-long teambuilding and training activity for about 900 of their salesforce. Still, we made the most out of our 24 hour stay on the island where we were bunked in nothing less than the extravagant haven of Discovery Shores. Thank you TMP for the wonderful vacation!
