Less the chin spoiler and dampers, the newly launched Vios TRD Sportivo comes with side skirts, a duck-tail rear trunk spoiler, and the all-important TRD Sportivo badge. They've thrown out the previous miniscule 15-inch rims, and swapped it with a fresh set of 17-inch TRD alloy wheels. And a chrome muffler tip was added to complete the package.
There’s a nice mix of sporty and elegance inside. A shiny piano-black finish trim covers the center panel, while the transmission gate shift plate is encrusted in chrome. In contrast, the TRD Sportivo gets a set of race-inspired black fabric seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. And because it's based on the top-of-the-line Vios 1.5G, it also gets all the amenities and luxuries included in the variant.
Under the hood is the 1.5 liter VVT-i mil found in the regular Vios that generates 107 horsepower and 142 Nm of torque. Sadly, it's only available with a four speed ECT automatic transmission according to TMP.
The new Toyota TRD 1.5G TRD Sportivo comes in four exciting colors: Grey Metallic, Black, White Pearl, and Cosmo Red. Priced at P865,000 and backed with Toyota’s three-year warranty and un-relented reliability, the Vios has never been this exciting.
